Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the 51st Annual Convention of the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) on August 21-23, 2014 at the Xavier Sports & Country Club, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. The convention seeks to be a venue for exchange of best practices and cutting edge research in psychology. It will feature plenary and learning sessions, research and practice parallel sessions, and skill-building workshops.

This year’s convention has for its theme “Philippine Psychology in the Midst of Change”. Specific changes relevant to all of us are (1) ASEAN 2015 and the Philippine qualifications network; (2) the Table of Specifications for board examinations; (3) K to 12 developments, CMO 20 and the teaching of psychology; and (4) our continuing concerns related to disaster preparedness and response; peace, conflict, and violence; surviving human adversity; poverty reduction, social development, & community empowerment; children and families; and, a responsible and inclusive psychology practice.

The non refundable but transferable registration fee will cover the souvenir program, certificate of attendance, conference bag, lunch and snacks for two days, and dinner on Day 2. 

The Call for Papers has already been issued. Deadline for submission of abstracts is April 4, 2014. Registration for early bird registration starts on June 1, 2014.
